Her musical training started with autodidactical practices on the piano like "Per Elise", other small pieces of Beethoven and some pop songs at the age of eight. Instead of doing her homework she learned all common musicals like "My Fair Lady", "West Side Story" etc. by heart. Well... and she also sang Motetten of Mr. Bach in a church choir (first soprano).
After A-Level at the Gymnasium St.Pauli in Hamburg she was accepted at an Actors Studio, started studying the stage literature and got some classical singing lessons (Mozart, Schubert etc.) with Yoshimitsu Haga
followed by stage experienc...Weiterlesenes at the Thalia Theater, Hamburg and then decided to study movement and singing at the Monsun Theatre, where she had daily lessons in yoga, piano, musicology, singing, acting, improvisation on ragas etc. and steadily performances within the ensemble.
Since 1994 Gabriele Raik lives in Berlin and performs in clubs and at events. She also works as a speaker.
